The Year 2000 Boom

posted in: Blog | 0

Younger generations are wearing Y2K style in large numbers. What is it, Y2K? It alludes to the year 2000, which was marked by glitter, garish accessories, sportswear, crop tops, exposed underwear, gloss, and exceptionally LOW rise jeans (Y=year; 2K=2000).

Social media influencers on TikTok and Instagram, as well as celebrities like Rihanna, Bella Hadid, and Dua Lipa, among others, played a big part in the resurgence of this millennial-favorite fad.

There is a lot of discussion about this trend among fashion aficionados, with some embracing it and others fighting it to the death, despite the fact that it is undeniably one of the season’s most strong trends (figuratively).

Also you? Do you wear Y2K fashion again or do you object to it?
